Add pattern to your life with some terrific tiles

I have mentioned before that I don't like the tiles in our rented kitchen, with a pattern of diamonds using solid cream and solid brown tiles against an oak kitchen and dark laminate counter. The space is so dark I don't enjoy spending my time in there. Tiles don't have to be dreary, there are some gorgeous examples where tiles contribute to making a room feel bright and airy.
