Ikea goes Asian with a limited spicy collection

I would love to go on a shopping trip to Sweden some time - and no trip to Sweden would be complete without a trip to ikea. I think in Ikea in Sweden has a lot more unique stock, including limited edition pieces. These pics are from there latest limited edition collection, inspired by trips to India and Vietnam. I love how the Swedish style still shines through on the Asian influence pieces. What do you think?

Hello Amy! Your blog rocks!

On to your question... I think Japanese and Scandinavian design share a few common traits (I realized that on my own and then noticed it's been documented amply, duh!), well, at least design from some periods, and I love them.

However, seeing Ikea going West from Japan, with hues that make me think of China, Malaysia and India is a first. I like it as long as it's just some accents, otherwise it'd give me a headache.
